About Highly Effective Marketers

Marketing help for people who already know what a funnel is.

You've done the courses. You can run a campaign in your sleep (and probably have, at 11pm, the night before a launch). HEM is for what comes next: the frameworks and judgement calls that turn a good marketer into the one everyone asks.

Why I started HEM

I've spent 20+ years in marketing, and I still do the whole job. Strategy, copy, design, the build, the email automation, the report at the end.

And one thing kept bugging me. Good marketers, sharp and capable, were living on advice written for beginners: recycled playbooks, and vanity metrics passed off as results.

Most of the people handing out that advice had never run the campaign. So I started writing the version I wanted to read. That's HEM.

What HEM is

Frameworks and templates for senior marketers, plus training for the bits a template can't fix. You take what's useful and leave the rest.

It all assumes you're already good at your job. The aim is the parts nobody teaches you: pricing your work, writing proposals that close, positioning yourself, and getting heard by the people who sign off the budget.

Who's behind it

I'm Camelia Vasile. I run Zoom Direct Media, a digital marketing agency, and I build HEM alongside it.

I'm a full-stack marketer. In practice that means I've written the strategy deck, stared down the blank page at 11pm, built the funnel, wired up the automation and sat across from a client explaining what actually moved.

The last thing I built for myself was a LinkedIn system: 14 days of posts batched in advance, feeding 8 lead magnets into one email list. That's the kind of thing you'll find here.

I care most about 2 things: copy that sounds like a person wrote it, and work that shows up as leads and sales.

What I believe

Copy decides it.

Strategy without a human voice is a deck nobody reads.

Build the system first.

Most businesses need a machine that runs every week far more than they need another post.

Count what pays.

Leads and sales go on the scoreboard. Reach and followers go in the appendix.

Fit the playbook to the business.

Last client's strategy with a new logo on it is a template with a nicer invoice.

Every word gets a human pass.

You can spot unedited AI in 2 sentences. So can your clients.

Start with the free toolkit: the frameworks and templates I actually use, plus a mostly-weekly newsletter for marketers who run campaigns as well as talk about them.
